Aimee Rose Carey Set to Shine on The Late Late Toy Show
Talented 13-year-old Aimee Rose Carey from Fahan is preparing for a significant milestone as she takes the stage on The Late Late Toy Show on December 5, 2023. This prestigious opportunity comes after Aimee Rose was selected from an impressive pool of 5,000 applicants, making her one of just 60 children chosen to perform on Ireland’s most beloved television event.
Aimee Rose’s journey to the Toy Show began when her mother, Sharon Carey, submitted a video application earlier this year. After impressing the judges, Aimee Rose received an invitation to audition at the RTÉ studios in October. The excitement culminated during Halloween when she learned that she would be part of this highly anticipated show, which draws millions of viewers each year.
A Rising Star in the Community
The young performer has been rehearsing diligently since her selection, supported by her family, including her father, Conor Carey, and her brother, Michael Carey. Aimee Rose has already made a name for herself in local performance circles, having reached the final 12 in this year’s Junior Eurovision competition broadcast on TG4. Her dedication to the arts is evident through her involvement in various local productions.
Currently, Aimee Rose is a student at Scoil Mhuire in Buncrana, where she recently showcased her talent in the school’s production of *Annie the Musical*. Additionally, she is an active participant in the Buncrana Pantomime and Inish Theatre, and she studies music at St Columb’s School of Music in Derry.
On the same night as Aimee Rose’s performance, TJ McDaid from Drumkeen has also been confirmed to represent Donegal in the Toy Show’s county parade, further spotlighting the talent emerging from the region.
Aimee Rose Carey’s participation in The Late Late Toy Show not only highlights her individual talent but also emphasizes the vibrant community of young performers in Donegal. As the date approaches, excitement builds around her performance, which promises to be a memorable highlight of the festive television season.
