Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie Share Dublin Adventures on Late Late Show
Viewers of RTE’s Late Late Show were captivated by an engaging interview featuring Hollywood stars Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie on March 15, 2024. The conversation, hosted by Patrick Kielty, marked the beginning of the show’s third season and centered around their upcoming film, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.
During the episode, Farrell and Robbie shared anecdotes from their successful careers and their experiences working together. Robbie, who is set to attend the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles this weekend, reflected on the global phenomenon of her recent film, Barbie. The discussion took a more personal turn as the actors recounted amusing memories from their past.
Robbie, in particular, recounted a spontaneous trip to Ireland that she took years ago. She described waking up in a shared house in London filled with unexpected guests after a night of festivities. Among them were four Canadian backpackers who had met one of her roommates while traveling in Thailand. When they mentioned their plans to visit Dublin, Robbie seized the opportunity since she had a day off from work.
“So me and my other roommate were like, ‘We might come to Ireland with you, we’ve got the day off and tomorrow off’,” she said. This sudden decision led to an unforgettable excursion, where the trio found themselves enjoying the vibrant nightlife of Dublin.
Robbie vividly recalled a memorable experience at a local pub, saying, “We had an amazing, random trip. It was a short amount of time. We got to Dublin, went to, is it Temple Bar? Had a lock-in. The police locked us in. I mean, it was amazing. It was the best time ever. Loved Dublin.”
The interview received an overwhelmingly positive response from viewers, who took to social media to express their enthusiasm. Comments included praise for the engaging nature of the conversation, with one viewer stating, “Loved this interview,” while another remarked on Farrell’s status as “an Irish treasure.”
As the show continues to attract high-profile guests, the chemistry between Kielty, Farrell, and Robbie highlights the enduring appeal of the Late Late Show, making it a staple of entertainment in the region.
