Helen Flanagan Shows Off Black Eye After €450 Beauty Treatment

Helen Flanagan, the former star of the iconic British soap opera *Coronation Street*, has recently shared a striking selfie showcasing a black eye following a costly beauty treatment. The actress, now 34, posted the image on Instagram on March 15, 2024, revealing the bruising while going makeup-free and capturing a candid moment of her son, Charlie, taking a brief nap in the background. Flanagan humorously captioned the photo, stating, “Going around like this. Be worth it when I look 24. Charlie danger napping.”
The treatment that led to her noticeable bruising reportedly involved €450 worth of skin injections known as Polynucleotides. This procedure is designed to rejuvenate the skin without adding volume, and while it promises positive results, it also carries the risk of temporary side effects such as bruising. Flanagan expressed her trust in her practitioner, writing, “I only go to @drnataliehowarth for my face as I trust her a million percent.”
Preparing for the Spotlight
In addition to her beauty treatment, Flanagan has been busy preparing for her appearance on the reality show *I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! All Stars*. Speaking to the *Daily Star* at the WhichBingo Awards, Flanagan revealed that she underwent intensive training for the show, which included hiring a phobia coach. This preparation was aimed at helping her face the challenges of the notorious Bushtucker Trials.
“I properly trained for that and paid a phobia coach,” she explained. “He would get me involved with all the snakes and all these bugs. I remember being in this bath and this guy chucked cockroaches on me until I stopped screaming.” Flanagan’s rigorous training included exposure to various phobias, such as heights, which she practiced at an adventure park known as Go Ape.
Her dedication paid off, as she participated in what she described as the highest trial in *I’m A Celeb* history alongside celebrities Myleene Klass and Amir Khan. Flanagan noted the importance of preparation in her career, saying, “It’s like being an actress; if you don’t learn your lines and don’t prepare for it, you won’t be ready.”
Despite the challenges she faced during her training, Flanagan found satisfaction in being prepared for the trials. “You have to get yourself in a different mindset, but it was such a nice feeling to be ready for it,” she said.
Helen Flanagan continues to balance her career in entertainment with the challenges of motherhood, sharing insights into both her professional and personal life with her followers. As she navigates the ups and downs of her public persona, her candid approach resonates with fans who appreciate her authenticity.
For those interested in following her journey, Flanagan’s social media remains a lively platform where she shares moments from her life, both glamorous and challenging.
