Influencer Niamh Cullen Mourns Husband Jamie Gill’s Passing
Influencer Niamh Cullen has expressed her profound gratitude to friends and family following the tragic passing of her husband, Jamie Gill. The couple celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary shortly before the heartbreaking news was shared over the weekend. Cullen confirmed Jamie’s death on March 5, 2023, a devastating loss for the Dublin community and their circle of loved ones.
The couple married in a picturesque ceremony at Borgo di Tragliata in Italy last November. Shortly after their wedding, Jamie was hospitalized for ten days during their honeymoon in Rome, highlighting the challenges they faced together. Niamh shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, posting a video that captured the essence of their relationship.
“The unimaginable has happened,” she wrote. “Our worst nightmare. My beautiful husband has been taken from us. The light of my life. I was the luckiest to be loved and adored by you, Jamie. I love you endlessly, not just now, but eternally.”
Niamh’s tribute follows Jamie’s recent health struggles. He underwent major surgery before Christmas, during which doctors discovered a cancerous tumor. After enduring ten chemotherapy sessions, Jamie faced further complications, including sepsis and pneumonia, which ultimately led to his untimely death.
In her emotional post, Niamh emphasized the impact of the “unwavering support and love” she received from her friends and family during this challenging time. She described her home as “never not being empty” and expressed her disbelief at the sudden loss.
“Why you, why us,” she questioned, reflecting on the joy they shared. “All we did was have so much fun and adored one another. I feel empty.”
As condolences continue to pour in online, Niamh shared a series of photos celebrating their life together, providing a glimpse into their love story. Jamie’s family announced his funeral arrangements, stating he passed away surrounded by loved ones, receiving care from the staff at St. Francis Hospice in Raheny.
Details regarding Jamie’s funeral have been shared publicly. He will be laid to rest on March 7, 2023, following a funeral mass at St. Vincent de Paul Church on Griffith Avenue, scheduled for 11:30 AM. His family has requested that the community honor his memory, emphasizing the profound loss felt by all who knew him.
The family noted in a death notice on RIP.ie that Jamie, only 33 years old, was a loving husband, cherished son, and fantastic brother. His unexpected passing leaves a void in the lives of many, and the community continues to rally around Niamh during this difficult time.
Niamh’s heartfelt messages resonate with the universal experience of grief, reminding us of the importance of love and support in moments of profound loss.
