Katie Price Reaches Out to Son Harvey’s Half-Brother Orlando

Katie Price is taking steps to strengthen family connections by reaching out to her son Harvey’s half-brother, Orlando, who recently celebrated his 18th birthday. The former glamour model, now 46, welcomed Harvey in 2002 during a brief relationship with his father, Dwight Yorke, a former professional footballer. Despite Yorke’s absence in Harvey’s life, Price hopes to foster a relationship between her son and his sibling.
Yorke, 53, has never had a role in Harvey’s upbringing and initially denied paternity, only to be confirmed as Harvey’s father through DNA testing. The situation has drawn public scrutiny, particularly following Yorke’s recent Instagram post celebrating Orlando’s milestone birthday. Many criticized him for neglecting Harvey, which has reignited conversations about his parenting choices.
Katie Price expressed her desire to meet Orlando, a sentiment shared by her other children, Junior and Princess, whom she shares with her ex-husband, singer Peter Andre. On her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she noted how strikingly similar Orlando and Harvey appear, mentioning their matching physical traits. As Price stated, “I can’t believe how much he actually looks like Harvey; his eyes, and he’s like six foot three.”
In her effort to connect, Katie revealed that she directly contacted Orlando to propose a meeting. She acknowledged that Orlando might have hesitated to reach out due to potential reluctance associated with their father. “He’s probably too scared because of his dad,” she remarked, highlighting the emotional complexity surrounding their situation.
Price pointed out that Orlando follows both Harvey and Junior on Instagram, suggesting a mutual curiosity. She expressed disappointment over the lack of communication from Yorke’s side, emphasizing the sadness of their estrangement. “No one else has been in contact from the family, and it’s pretty sad,” she said.
Public reaction to Yorke’s parenting has been harsh, particularly after he posted a heartfelt message to Orlando without acknowledging Harvey on his birthday in May. Many social media users criticized him for what they perceive as selective parenting, with comments such as, “What about Harvey?” and “You don’t pick and choose which child you want to raise.”
Katie Price has been a devoted advocate for her son, who faces multiple disabilities, including autism, Prader-Willi syndrome, and septo-optic dysplasia. Her commitment to Harvey’s well-being and rights is well documented, and she has used her platform to raise awareness about the challenges faced by families with disabled children.
As Price continues to navigate the complexities of her family dynamics, the potential meeting with Orlando could mark a significant moment for both families. With her children eager to establish a connection, it remains to be seen how this outreach will unfold and what it means for Harvey’s relationship with his half-brother.
