Katja Mia has confirmed her future with Virgin Media while also announcing her new role with 2FM. The 29-year-old presenter will join the 2FM weekend team, taking over from Blathnaid Treacy during her maternity leave. This new position will see her hosting a slot from 9:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. Mia expressed her excitement, stating she is “absolutely buzzing” to make her radio debut.

For the past two years, Katja Mia has co-hosted The Six O’Clock Show alongside Brian Dowling, succeeding former presenters Karen Koster and Greg O’Shea. Fans were curious about how her new radio commitment would affect her existing duties. In a light-hearted moment during a live broadcast, Mia reassured viewers that she would continue her role on the television show, humorously noting, “I’m not going anywhere, guys, I’ll still be here; someone has to keep Brian in check.”
