Kilkenny School Community Celebrates Talent at Fundraiser Night
The SN Moin Ruadh school community in Kilkenny recently hosted a vibrant fundraising event, Hugginstown’s Got Talent, at Malzards of Stoneyford. The night was a resounding success, showcasing the incredible talents of local performers while raising funds for the school.
The fundraising committee expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the event. “It’s amazing and humbling to see what can be achieved when a small community comes together with a common goal,” they stated. The night featured various acts, with community members stepping up to sponsor performers, advertise in the programme, and purchase tickets and raffle entries.
Community Support Shines Through
According to the fundraising committee, the outpouring of support from the community was overwhelming. They emphasized, “Words cannot express our gratitude to every single person who made this whole night and sponsorship drive possible.” This sentiment reflects the strong bonds within the community, as members rallied around the shared goal of supporting their local school.
In addition to the talent show, the fundraising efforts included a raffle, further encouraging participation. The committee reported a significant turnout, demonstrating the community’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for local students.
Camera Club Invites Community Participation
The school also announced an initiative inviting residents to contribute to its Camera Club. This project aims to showcase local life through photography. Community members are encouraged to submit images capturing various aspects of daily life, from celebrations to serene landscapes.
To participate, individuals can visit the Camera Club page on the school’s website. Submissions should include the photographer’s name, the location where the photo was taken, and a brief caption. Selected photographs may be featured on the school’s website and in local publications, providing a platform for community storytelling.
This blend of creativity and community spirit highlights the importance of local engagement in fostering a sense of belonging and support within Kilkenny. The success of Hugginstown’s Got Talent serves as a testament to what can be accomplished when individuals unite toward a common purpose.
