Love Island Contestant Tommy Bradley Nearly Quits After Health Scare

A contestant on the reality show Love Island, Tommy Bradley, faced a significant health scare that brought him to the brink of quitting. The 22-year-old, who entered the villa at the start of the 2025 series, revealed he went without food and sleep for a staggering 48 hours shortly after his arrival.
Bradley, a landscape gardener, described his experience during an appearance on GK Barry’s podcast, Saving Grace. He explained that the initial days in the villa proved to be extremely challenging. “For the first two days, I didn’t sleep at all. I didn’t eat a thing. I was speaking to the medics and telling them I didn’t know what to do,” he recounted. His struggle with anxiety over food and lack of rest led him to consider leaving the show altogether.
Despite these difficulties, Bradley managed to stay in the villa for a total of 34 days before being eliminated alongside fellow contestant Lucy Quinn. He noted that his connection with another contestant, Megan, played a crucial role in helping him overcome his initial discomfort. “When I started getting closer to Megan, having that closeness with someone really helped,” he said.
Bradley expressed pride in his ability to persevere through such an overwhelming experience. “It was just so out of my comfort zone. But I’m so proud of how I overcame that feeling,” he added. The contestant also mentioned the positive feedback he received from viewers, calling it “insane” and heartwarming to read messages praising his conduct on the show.
The 2025 series of Love Island continues to capture the attention of audiences, available for streaming on ITVX. Bradley’s journey highlights the intense pressures contestants face in the villa, as well as the support that can emerge from developing relationships amidst the challenges of reality television.
