Mayo Comedian Garron Noone Returns to Social Media After Hiatus

Garron Noone, the well-known comedian from Mayo, has made an anticipated return to social media after a nearly two-month hiatus. The comedian, who often refers to his followers as “delicious,” stepped back from public engagements to prioritize his mental health. In June, he announced the postponement of all his gigs scheduled for this year due to mental health pressures, which included struggles with agoraphobia.
After a break from posting, Noone returned to TikTok and Instagram on August 12, 2023, sharing his thoughts in his signature humorous style. He greeted his followers with, “Hello, how are ye gettin on? I haven’t made a video in two months, so I’ve got two months of complaining built up in me. Don’t worry, I’ve written it down.”
Reflections on Recent Experiences
In his first video back, Noone humorously lamented the recent heatwave, stating, “The past two months have been far too f**kin warm for my liking.” He expressed his dislike for being warm, noting, “I can’t sleep because my body’s just moist — I’m not even sweating, my body’s just threatening to sweat.” This light-hearted complaint set the tone for his return.
Continuing with his comedic rants, Noone shared his frustration over soup choices, specifically criticizing tomato soup. “I don’t want to gamble with soup. And what soup was it? Tomato soup. The worst kind of soup,” he quipped, declaring that “tomato soup is a sauce, not a soup; you’re not fooling me.”
His return resonated with fans, with comments praising him as “the return of the Irish king.” Supportive messages included remarks from fellow public figures, such as the pop duo Jedward, who noted he looked “younger” upon his comeback.
Mental Health Awareness and Future Plans
Noone has previously been candid about his mental health challenges, particularly his decade-long battle with agoraphobia. In July, he postponed his upcoming tour, stating it “isn’t possible” to perform at this time. He expressed disappointment over not being able to meet his fans but remained hopeful for the future. “Hopefully, I will see you in 2026 for the rescheduled shows,” he shared. Tickets for the postponed events remain valid, and he encouraged ticket holders to reach out to their providers for refunds if needed.
Reflecting on his break from social media, Noone acknowledged that it may extend longer than initially expected, although he planned to share some sponsored content in the interim. He expressed a desire to return fully, saying, “Hopefully, it won’t be too long after that until I’m back. Until I see ye again, Stay Delicious.”
Noone’s return highlights the importance of mental health awareness, a topic he has advocated for openly. His decision to take a break resonates with many who face similar challenges, and his humorous approach to discussing these issues continues to endear him to fans. As he resumes his online presence, followers eagerly anticipate more of his trademark wit and charm.
