Noel Edmonds Purchases Isle of Man Home After Show Cancellation

TV presenter Noel Edmonds has announced his purchase of a new home on the Isle of Man, following the cancellation of his show, Kiwi Adventure. The series, which aired in June, documented his life on a farm in New Zealand with his fifth wife, Liz Edmonds. At 76 years old, Edmonds plans to split his time between the Isle of Man and New Zealand.
The decision to move to the Isle of Man stems from Edmonds’ appreciation of the island’s “massive community spirit.” He first visited three years ago and expressed his surprise at not having discovered the island sooner. “I came for the very first time three years ago, and when you consider I lived in the UK all my life… I don’t know why I didn’t come before,” he told Manx Radio.
Edmonds described the Isle of Man as “the Smile of Man,” citing the happiness of its residents and their commitment to looking out for each other as key factors that attracted him. He emphasized the pride the locals take in their community, stating, “You’re bloody proud of the island, you’re proud of the community, and across the water there [in the UK], you don’t get that anymore.”
The cancellation of Kiwi Adventure came as a disappointment. Despite initial expectations of the show becoming a staple on ITV, it failed to achieve strong ratings, attracting only between 1 million and 1.5 million viewers per episode. An insider revealed that while the series received positive feedback from both viewers and critics, it needed higher numbers to justify a follow-up.
Disruptive weather on his New Zealand estate also played a role in the decision to halt the series. Sources close to Edmonds noted that flooding had severely hindered operations on the farm, making filming nearly impossible. They indicated that the show has been effectively “put on ice” due to these circumstances.
Despite the setback, Edmonds has been actively enjoying his time on the Isle of Man. He has participated in local events, such as the Southern Agricultural Show in Ballasalla and the famous TT Races. His enthusiasm for the island is evident, as he remarked, “I love the Isle of Man. I’ve been here a few times before… I’ve always wanted to come, and I live in New Zealand so I’ve travelled 11,000 miles to be here.”
Local residents have noted Edmonds’ unique style, often seen wearing mismatched shoes—one light brown lace-up boot alongside a darker slip-on. His spokesperson commented that he enjoys such quirky fashion choices for fun.
Edmonds is now looking forward to establishing his new residence in this vibrant community, reflecting on the positive atmosphere that has drawn him to the Isle of Man.
