Oasis has officially arrived in Ireland ahead of their much-anticipated concerts at Croke Park this weekend. The iconic band, led by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, will perform two shows on August 16 and August 17, 2024, marking their first major reunion tour since their split in 2009.

As excitement builds, the band’s rhythm guitarist, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, shared a photo from a plane window showcasing Ireland’s landscape, much to the delight of fans. His message, “bring the noise,” accompanied by celebratory emojis, encapsulated the fervor surrounding the upcoming performances. Comments on his post reflected the enthusiasm, with fans eagerly counting down to the shows.

The Gallaghers have a strong connection to Ireland, with their parents hailing from Mayo and Meath. Bonehead, along with fellow band members Tony ‘Guigsy’ McGuigan and original drummer Tony Carroll, also share Irish heritage, further endearing them to the local audience.

Logistical Preparations for Concerts

As the countdown continues, preparations are in full swing across Dublin. Dublin Port recently shared a video showcasing the convoy of trucks transporting the stage and equipment for the concerts. Anticipation is palpable, with many fans posting videos on social media platforms like TikTok, providing glimpses of what to expect at the stadium.

With an estimated crowd of up to 162,000 attendees over the two nights, logistical arrangements are crucial. Irish Rail has advised concert-goers to plan their travel well in advance. Many intercity train routes have already sold out for the weekend, and additional services have been scheduled to accommodate the influx of visitors.

A spokesperson for Irish Rail confirmed that train tickets for the weekend are selling quickly. Concert-goers are urged to secure their travel plans as soon as possible, as tickets will not be available for purchase at stations on the day of the events.

Additional trains include an 08:00 service from Cork to Dublin Heuston and a 10:15 service from Waterford. For those returning, services include a 00:30 departure from Dublin Heuston to Galway and a 00:40 service to Cork, with a connection available at Limerick Junction.

As the first notes prepare to echo from Croke Park, the excitement in the air is unmistakable. Fans are ready to witness history as Oasis takes the stage, bringing an unforgettable experience to Dublin.
