Sharon Van Etten Set to Dazzle Dublin with Concert on August 21

American singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten will perform at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, in Dublin on August 21, 2025. This concert is part of the Wider Than Pictures Concert Series and follows the release of her critically acclaimed seventh studio album, *Sharon Van Etten and The Attachment Theory*. Van Etten, known for her raspy and luminous sound, gained recognition after releasing her debut album, *Because I Was in Love*, in 2009.
The concert will feature support from Australian indie artist Angie McMahon and Bristol-based singer-songwriter Katy J Pearson. Gates will open at 18:00, allowing fans to settle in before the music begins. Concertgoers are encouraged to use public transport, with the Luas tram system being the recommended option for reaching the venue.
Transportation and Entry Information
For those taking the Luas, the nearest stop is Museum on the Red Line. Alternatively, Heuston Station is within walking distance for train passengers. Several Dublin Bus routes also service the area, including routes 124, 39, 39A, 60, 782, and C2.
Entry to the concert will be through Liffey Street West, and attendees must be over 18 years of age. Fans are advised to have their ID and tickets ready for inspection upon arrival. Bags must be A4 size or smaller, and all attendees will undergo security checks.
Organizers have outlined specific prohibited items for the safety and comfort of all concertgoers. Items such as fireworks, flares, alcohol, drugs, and professional photography equipment—including drones and cameras with detachable lenses—will not be allowed. Attendees are urged to respect the venue as a national landmark and to be patient during entry and exit procedures.
Weather Forecast and Setlist Expectations
Weather conditions in Dublin on the day of the concert are expected to be mostly dry, with a mix of clouds and sunny spells. The highest temperatures are forecasted to range between 17 to 22 degrees Celsius, with a light variable breeze. Evening temperatures may drop to between 9 to 12 degrees Celsius, accompanied by some mist and fog.
At a recent concert at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, Sharon Van Etten and The Attachment Theory performed a captivating setlist, which concertgoers in Dublin can likely expect to see replicated. While some tickets are still available via ticketmaster.ie, interested fans should act quickly as they may sell out. Resale tickets could also become available if demand continues.
With a rich history and vibrant atmosphere, the concert at Collins Barracks promises to be a memorable event for all attendees.
