Dublin Coach Emma Murphy Reveals Secrets to Sustainable Weight Loss
Maintaining healthy habits can be a daunting task for many. Dublin-based weight loss coach Emma Murphy has shared essential strategies to help individuals sustain their fitness journeys and avoid the common pitfalls that lead to regaining lost weight. After beginning her coaching career in 2016, Murphy now operates her own gym, offering personalized training and nutrition plans to women of all ages and fitness levels.
A significant challenge many face is integrating healthy habits into their daily lives. Murphy emphasizes the importance of thinking long-term about health and fitness. She believes that understanding how current lifestyle choices affect one’s future can provide the necessary motivation to stay committed.
“My whole mantra is, fitness should be a part of your life,” Murphy told RSVP Live. “Living a healthy lifestyle should be part of your life. If something is working for you, if you love doing it and it’s making you feel good, why would you stop?”
Murphy encourages individuals to remain focused on their health as they age. “Whether you’re in your 20s, 30s, or 40s, we’re all going to reach our 50s, 60s, 70s, and so on. You want to be strong at that time and look after yourself,” she added.
In her approach, she highlights the importance of continually implementing healthy habits learned during weight loss journeys into everyday life. She advocates for fitness as an integral part of daily routines, noting its benefits for physical health, mental well-being, and heart function.
Breaking away from an all-or-nothing mindset is crucial. Murphy advises making small, manageable changes daily to foster a healthier lifestyle. “Make small little tweaks every day, and you can turn those bad habits into good habits,” she explained.
For those who enjoy takeaways, Murphy suggests creating healthier versions at home, often referred to as “fakeaways.” By gradually shifting eating habits towards healthier options, individuals can reduce cravings for unhealthy foods over time. “Eat well, and eat in moderation,” she advises.
Emma Murphy operates her fitness services from Emma Murphy Fitness, located at Century Business Park, St Margaret’s Rd, Charlestown, Dublin 11, Ireland. For more information about her gym and coaching services, interested individuals can visit her Instagram page.
Through her experience and guidance, Murphy aims to empower others to embrace a sustainable approach to health and fitness, ensuring that healthy living becomes a lifelong commitment rather than a temporary endeavor.
