To combat this, she advocates for a balanced food plan tailored to individual lifestyles, particularly for those with busy schedules, such as working mothers.

The key to success, according to Murphy, lies in making small, manageable changes to daily habits. “Make small little tweaks every day, and you can turn those bad habits into good habits,” she advised. For example, she suggests creating healthier versions of favorite takeout meals, known as “fakeaways.” Over time, these incremental adjustments can help individuals develop a healthier relationship with food.

While diet plays a crucial role in weight loss, Murphy also emphasizes the benefits of exercise. For those hesitant about traditional gym environments, she recommends seeking out smaller group training programs. “You sweat, you get a good workout, but you have fun,” she said, describing her approach to fitness classes.

Murphy encourages individuals to explore activities they genuinely enjoy, stating, “You don’t even need to join a gym if you don’t want to. If you love dancing, find a dance class.” By focusing on enjoyable physical activities, individuals can foster a more sustainable approach to fitness.
