Joe Biden Begins New Cancer Treatment as Health Questions Arise

Former US President Joe Biden is currently undergoing a new treatment plan for his aggressive prostate cancer, which has metastasised to his bones. At nearly 83 years old, Biden disclosed his cancer diagnosis in May, informing the public that the disease is hormone-sensitive, allowing for effective management. According to a spokesperson, Biden is now receiving radiation therapy alongside hormone treatment, which is expected to continue for five weeks.

The latest phase of Biden’s treatment introduces radiation therapy as a new aspect of his care. Despite the serious nature of his condition, the 46th President is reported to be “doing well.” In addition to his ongoing cancer treatment, Biden underwent skin cancer treatment known as Mohs surgery last month. This procedure involves removing thin layers of skin until no signs of cancer remain.

Reflecting on his cancer journey, Biden expressed, “Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.” His remarks highlight the personal and shared nature of battling cancer, resonating with many who have faced similar challenges.

As questions about Biden’s health persist, Donald Trump, his predecessor, recently underwent a physical examination that indicated he is in “excellent health.” Trump visited physicians at the Walter Reed military hospital, where Navy Captain Sean Barbabella provided a letter detailing his health status. The letter noted that Trump’s cardiac age was approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age, based on validated cardiovascular measurements.

Barbabella confirmed that Trump maintains a demanding daily schedule without restrictions and has received his updated COVID-19 booster shot along with his annual flu vaccination. This contrast in health updates between the two former leaders has drawn attention amid ongoing discussions about their respective well-being.

Biden’s new treatment regimen highlights the complexities of managing advanced cancer while maintaining transparency with the public. As he continues this phase of treatment, the support from his family and the public remains a vital aspect of his journey.
