Milford Care Centre Unveils Strategic Plan for 2025-2030

Milford Care Centre officially introduced its Strategic Plan for 2025–2030 on September 9, 2023, marking a significant advancement in specialist palliative care and services for older adults in the Mid West region. This comprehensive strategy is the culmination of over a year of collaboration, consultation, and a shared vision involving various stakeholders, which included townhall meetings, workshops, and surveys.

Focused Themes and Objectives

Under the guiding theme of ‘Leading with Compassion, Excellence, and Innovation’, the plan articulates a clear direction for the upcoming years. It pays tribute to the Centre’s legacy while actively seeking opportunities to enhance care delivery. The strategy is structured around seven core themes: Service Excellence and Innovation, People and Culture, Organisational Governance, Education and Research, Engagement and Partnerships, Infrastructure and Sustainability, and Digital Transformation.

These pillars aim to strengthen service delivery and empower the teams responsible for providing high-quality care. During the launch event at the Centre, staff and stakeholders gathered to reaffirm their commitment to the Centre’s future and its ongoing impact in the region.

Leadership Insights

Mary O’Brien, CEO of Milford Care Centre, expressed optimism about the new strategy, stating, “This strategy gives us a clear roadmap to continue providing high-quality specialist palliative care and older adult services in the Mid West region for our patients, residents, and the dedicated staff who care for them.”
