Cork Blogger Lisa Jordan to Judge Best-Dressed at Killarney Races
Cork beauty blogger and entrepreneur Lisa Jordan will serve as a judge for the best-dressed competitions at the upcoming Killarney Races, a highlight of the racing calendar in Ireland. The event, part of the August Festival, will take place from August 21 to 23, 2023, promising three days filled with glamour and excitement.
Attendees at the Killarney Racecourse can look forward to a lavish atmosphere, with many expected to dress in their finest attire. The fashion contests, which will feature categories for both best-dressed lady and gentleman, are scheduled for Saturday. Winners will receive the coveted Kerry Signature Experience, while eighteen runners-up will be awarded luxury gifts valued between €150 and €200.
“I can’t wait for the Killarney Races,” said Jordan. “I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone. Irish fashion has never been more exciting or expressive. We’re calling on entrants of all ages and genders to showcase their true style with a strong emphasis on individuality, creative flair, and a fresh perspective. James and myself will make a great team.” James Patrice, a well-known TV presenter, will join Jordan in the judging panel.
The August Festival not only highlights fashion but also serves as a significant economic boost for the local community in Killarney. As visitors flock to the area, local hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops experience a surge in business. Gemma Ring, Managing Director of the O’Donoghue Ring Collection, expressed enthusiasm about the event. “We’re delighted to return as sponsor of the August Best Dressed Day,” she stated. “The festival brings a vibrant energy to Killarney and is a highlight in our hotels, bars, and restaurants. The entire town benefits.”
As the summer racing season comes to a close, the Killarney Races promise an engaging mix of sport, entertainment, and community spirit. Tickets are available on the event’s website, offering an opportunity for racegoers to experience the final summer festivities in style.
