Dunnes Stores Launches Stylish Autumn Coat for €45

Dunnes Stores has unveiled its latest autumn offering, the Savida Contrast Trim Padded Coat, priced at just €45. Available in stores and online, this visually striking coat is designed to be a stylish addition to any wardrobe as the temperatures begin to drop.
The Savida coat features a contemporary design, including abstract stitching and contrasting trims. It also boasts a structured funnel neck, a button-through front, and two spacious pockets to securely hold essentials. The coat is available in sizes ranging from XXS to XXL, ensuring a fit for various body types. Dunnes Stores describes it as an ideal piece for autumn, easily paired with skirts, jeans, or trousers.
In addition to the new coat, social media influencer Tara, who shares her fashion finds under the handle @littlemourneblog, has showcased a couple of autumn-ready pieces from Dunnes Stores. In a recent TikTok video, she highlighted the Dunnes Stores ‘Michigan’ Half Zip Tracksuit Sweatshirt, priced at €15.
Tara expressed her enthusiasm for the sweatshirt, stating, “We’re going to look casual but we’re sure going to look cute while doing it.” This item features a high neck with a zip option, long sleeves, and a bold print, available in sizes from XS to XXL. The retailer describes it as having a comfortable relaxed fit, perfect for casual outings.
Completing her autumn haul, Tara also tried on the Dunnes Stores Active Fleece in pink. She noted its softness and versatility, saying, “It’s just so soft and comfy and perfect for when you have to run around.” This fleece also includes side pockets, enhancing its functionality for everyday wear.
The history of Dunnes Stores dates back to 1944, when the first outlet opened on Patrick Street in Cork. It quickly became popular among shoppers seeking quality clothing at affordable prices. During its opening, the store attracted so many customers that police had to intervene to control the crowd eager for founder Ben Dunne’s “Better Value” bargains.
Over the decades, Dunnes Stores expanded its offerings, starting with groceries in 1960. Initially focusing on fruits, the retailer has since broadened its food selection to include a variety of products from local and international suppliers. The first Dublin store opened in 1957, followed by additional locations in Northern Ireland, Spain, Scotland, and England.
Today, Dunnes Stores operates 142 outlets and employs around 15,000 people. The brand continues to maintain its focus on providing value to customers while adapting to changing fashion trends and consumer preferences. As autumn approaches, the launch of the Savida coat and its accompanying fashion pieces reflect the retailer’s commitment to staying current in the competitive clothing market.
