											Five retailers from Galway have received accolades at the prestigious XL Awards held in Spain, highlighting their exceptional performance in the retail industry. The awards ceremony, hosted by BWG Foods, recognized outstanding stores following a rigorous evaluation process carried out by SMA Retail Specialists.
XL Glenamaddy secured the award for Best Category Management, while XL Knocknacarra was honored with the Best Customer Service award. Additionally, XL Salthill Service Station won the Best Wine Offering. Other notable recognitions included Best Promotional Activity awarded to XL Clybaun Stores in Knocknacarra and the Best Forecourt Newcomer accolade presented to Declan and Maria Maher of XL New Inn.
The ceremony featured Marty Morrissey, a commentator from RTÉ, as the Master of Ceremonies, adding an international flavor to the event. This year’s awards were particularly significant as they took place outside Ireland for the first time, showcasing the global reach of the XL Retail brand.
