Kilkenny Honors Community Leaders at 2025 KKB Awards Ceremony

The annual Keep Kilkenny Beautiful (KKB) Awards celebrated local achievements in environmental and community efforts last week at Langton’s Hotel in Kilkenny. The event recognized individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the beautification and sustainability of the area.

Maurice O’Connor, a well-known figure from Community Radio Kilkenny City, served as the master of ceremonies. He guided attendees through the evening, which featured a keynote address by Bernadette Moloney, the Biodiversity Officer with Kilkenny County Council. The Fitzpatrick Shield for Community Effort was awarded to the Kilkenny Sub-Aqua Club, acknowledging their commitment to preserving local aquatic environments.
