Limerick Artists Secure €419,675 in New Arts Council Funding

Seven artists and arts organizations in Limerick have been awarded a total of €419,675 in funding from the Arts Council as part of its annual Arts Grant Funding scheme. This initiative aims to support a wide range of arts activities across Ireland, with a total of €17.1 million allocated to 218 successful applicants nationwide.
The funding comes in response to a surge in demand for financial support from the Arts Council, which received 7,568 eligible applications last year. This reflects a growing interest in the arts and highlights the importance of sustaining cultural initiatives during challenging times.

Among the notable recipients in Limerick are:
– Askeaton Contemporary Arts CLG with €70,000
– Light Moves Festival Of Screendance receiving €30,000
– Limerick Jazz Society, awarded €25,000
– Ormston House securing €200,000
– Sans Press, which will receive €20,000
– D’or Seifer, granted €4,675
– Limerick Theatre And Performance Hub, also awarded €70,000
These organizations will utilize the funds to enhance their contributions to the local arts scene, providing opportunities for artists, fostering community engagement, and facilitating various cultural events.
