Complete Laboratory Solutions to Create 140 Jobs in Galway

Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) has announced plans to create up to 140 new jobs at its facility in Galway City over the next three years. This expansion aims to increase the company’s total workforce to 400 employees, marking a significant milestone in its 30-year history.
The announcement comes as part of CLS’s strategy to transition from a national success to a player on the global stage. According to Evelyn O’Toole, Founder and CEO of CLS, “This marks one of the most exciting phases in CLS’s journey, as we scale from a national success story to a global player.”
Investment in Workforce Development
The expansion follows a substantial investment of €9 million in an upskilling program, which is supported by IDA Ireland. This investment reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing its capabilities and providing its employees with the necessary training to succeed in an evolving market.
CLS specializes in delivering testing, training, consultancy, and resourcing solutions to clients across various sectors, including the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Environmental, and Food and Beverage industries. The company operates its main facility at the IDA Business Park on Tuam Road and also has locations in Ros Muc and Dublin.
Implications for the Local Economy
The creation of these new jobs is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy in Galway. By expanding its workforce, CLS aims to enhance its service offerings and strengthen its position in the competitive landscape of laboratory solutions. This growth not only highlights the company’s ambitions but also signifies a broader trend of investment and job creation in the region.
The announcement has been welcomed by local officials and business leaders, who view it as a testament to Galway’s growing reputation as a hub for innovation and industry. The strategic focus on upskilling and workforce development aligns with national objectives to boost employment and foster economic growth across Ireland.
As CLS embarks on this ambitious expansion, the company is poised to contribute significantly to both local employment and the global market in laboratory solutions.
