Amanda Anisimova secured the China Open title on September 30, 2025, following a challenging summer that included two Grand Slam finals. The American triumphed over Czech player Linda Noskova, winning the match 6-0, 2-6, 6-2. This victory marks Anisimova’s second WTA 1000 title of the year, further solidifying her status as one of the rising stars in women’s tennis.

Anisimova’s remarkable achievement places her among a select group of players born since 2000 to win multiple WTA 1000 titles in a single season. She joins the ranks of renowned athletes such as Bianca Andreescu (2019), Iga Swiatek (2022, 2024), and Mirra Andreeva (2025). With this win, Anisimova now has a total of four career titles and has achieved 45 victories in 2025 alone.

Dominant Performance Despite Setback

The match began with Anisimova displaying exceptional form, quickly taking the first set 6-0 in just 23 minutes. She expertly placed her shots to frustrate Noskova, who struggled to find her rhythm. “It’s been an incredible few weeks,” Anisimova said after her victory. She reflected on her recent struggles, including a 6-0, 6-0 defeat to Swiatek in the Wimbledon final. “To my team, it’s crazy that we made it this far, and to get the win today has been really special.”

Noskova managed to regroup in the second set, breaking Anisimova’s serve in the opening game. She saved two break points with an ace and powerful backhands, establishing a 4-2 lead. However, Anisimova’s superior speed and determination shone through in the third set. She won four consecutive games, ultimately closing out the match in one hour and 46 minutes.

Path to the WTA Finals

With this victory, the 24-year-old Anisimova has qualified for the WTA Finals in Riyadh for the first time in her career. Former British player Naomi Broady commented on Anisimova’s journey, stating, “It means so much. It’s been a roller-coaster of emotions for Anisimova and her team. So deserving! She was the better player.”

Broady highlighted Anisimova’s impressive performance, noting that she hit over twice as many winners as Noskova. Although Anisimova recorded more unforced errors, her ability to capitalize during critical moments made a significant difference. “It’s not how many points you win, it’s which ones you win,” Broady added, emphasizing Anisimova’s effectiveness on break points.

As Anisimova celebrates her latest triumph, her focus shifts to maintaining momentum as she heads into the rest of the season. With a solid foundation and a determination to keep pushing forward, fans can expect to see more exciting performances from this talented player in the future.
