A thrilling showdown is set to unfold at the prestigious Prix Rothschild in Deauville this afternoon, featuring top contenders from the world of horse racing. Among the highlights is Crimson Advocate, who returns to the track following a commendable third-place finish at the recent Falmouth Stakes held at Newmarket. Competing against her will be January, who was a strong favorite at 6-4 in the Falmouth but narrowly lost by half a length to Cinderella’s Dream.

Key Runners in the Spotlight

The race, scheduled for 15:40 local time, sees jockey Christophe Soumillon taking the reins for January, while Ryan Moore will ride Garden of Eden in the German Oaks. The home team will be represented by Mandanaba, who previously finished just under three lengths behind in the Prix de Diane. With a 7-pound allowance for this race, her chances look promising as she aims to secure victory alongside her trainers, Mickael Barzalona and Francis-Henri Graffard.

In addition to the leading horses, James Fanshawe will be presenting the less experienced Pina Sonata, who comes into the race with two wins at Wolverhampton and Leicester under her belt. With Daniel Muscutt on board, she could be a dark horse in this competitive field.

Celandine Aims for Glory at Chester

Over at Chester, the action is equally riveting, with the Queensferry Crown on the line in the 15:52 race. Celandine, who returned to competition in the Group 3 Summer Stakes at York, will be looking to capitalize on her previous success as the winner of the Lowther Stakes. After finishing fifth in her last outing, she appears primed for a strong performance today, particularly with the impressive form of her two-year-old competitors, such as Time For Sandals, who recently won the Commonwealth Cup.

Representing Juddmonte and trained by Andrew Balding, Kassaya will also be in the mix. Having not raced since the 2024 Queen Mary Stakes, she will have her sights set on a better performance today after a disappointing finish in her last race.

Other contenders include Ain’t Nobody, who aims to rebound after a lackluster showing in the Hackwood Stakes at Newbury, and Habooba, who is seeking a hat-trick but may face challenges at this higher level of competition.

For racing enthusiasts, these events promise to showcase some of the finest talents in the sport, making today a must-watch on Sky Sports Racing.
