Jack Draper Ends 2025 Season Early Following Arm Injury

British tennis player Jack Draper has announced the premature end of his 2025 season due to an ongoing arm injury. The injury has troubled him throughout the year, culminating in his withdrawal from the second round of the US Open last month.
In a statement, Draper expressed his disappointment, saying, “Unfortunately, the injury to my arm is something I have to rest and means I’ll be sitting out the rest of 2025.” He added, “It is very difficult for me to accept as I was building some incredible momentum this year and playing some great stuff.”
The arm injury, diagnosed as bone bruising, arose after Draper’s match against Marin Cilic in the second round of Wimbledon. Despite the setback, Draper remains optimistic about his future in the sport, noting, “I’ve been through this before – and I always come back stronger as I’m so motivated to fulfil my potential as a player.”
Draper, who has been the British No 1, showed promise throughout the season, and his absence will be felt on the ATP Tour. His determination to return from this injury highlights his resilience and commitment to his career.
As the 2025 season progresses, fans and analysts will be keen to see how Draper’s recovery unfolds. The impact of his injury on his ranking and performance in forthcoming tournaments remains to be seen.
