Tottenham’s Mikey Moore Set for Season-Long Loan to Rangers

Tottenham Hotspur’s promising forward Mikey Moore is set to join Scottish club Rangers on a season-long loan. The 17-year-old has opted for this move despite having multiple offers from teams in the Championship. The arrangement does not include an option or obligation for Rangers to purchase the player at the end of the loan period.
Moore, who is versatile in playing as a winger or a number 10, is considered one of Tottenham’s most exciting prospects. Both the player and the club believe that gaining experience through regular first-team football is essential for his development. Last season, Moore made 12 appearances in the Premier League, contributing one assist. He also showcased his talent during Spurs’ successful Europa League campaign, scoring his first goal for the club in a group-stage match against Elfsborg.
Rangers’ Transfer Activity and Upcoming Fixtures
In addition to securing Moore, Rangers are reportedly in discussions with Go Ahead Eagles regarding the potential signing of winger Oliver Antman. While early reports suggested a deal was close, it is understood that Antman remains in training with his current club in the Eredivisie. Rangers’ head coach Russell Martin is eager to bolster his squad with additional wingers, having already signed seven players during this transfer window.
Rangers will kick off their 2025/26 Scottish Premiership season against Motherwell on August 2, with the match broadcast live on Sky Sports. This game will mark Martin’s debut in league management after his appointment earlier in the summer. Just days prior, the team will face Panathinaikos in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
As the season progresses, Rangers are set to host their first Scottish Premiership match at Ibrox on August 9 against Dundee, led by former player Steven Pressley. The highly anticipated Old Firm derby will take place on August 31, when Celtic visits Ibrox. This match is expected to be crucial for Rangers as they aim to close the gap on their city rivals.
In a competitive fixture schedule, Rangers will face several key matches, including a clash against Hearts on September 13 and a trip to Livingston on September 27. With a packed December schedule and no winter break, fans can look forward to six matches, starting with an away game against Hearts on December 20 and a home fixture against Motherwell on December 27.
As the season unfolds, Rangers are poised for an exciting campaign, with the potential impact of new signings like Moore likely to play a pivotal role.
