Two Players Become Millionaires After National Lottery Draw
Two players in Ireland have become instant millionaires following the latest National Lottery draw on March 16, 2024. Each winner has secured €1 million as a result of the Lotto Plus 1 draw, marking a significant windfall for both.
The winning tickets were purchased in Cork and Dublin. The specific locations of the stores where the tickets were bought will be revealed on Tuesday, prompting excitement and anticipation among local residents. Players in these counties are encouraged to check their tickets against the winning numbers: 05, 15, 16, 18, 25, 31, with a bonus number of 22.
Sarah Orr, a spokesperson for the National Lottery, has urged anyone holding a winning ticket to take immediate action. “Today we are appealing to Lotto players in both counties to check their tickets very carefully as two people now have tickets worth a life-changing €1 million each,” Orr stated. She advised the winners to sign the back of their tickets and keep them secure.
For those who confirm they have winning tickets, Orr highlighted the next steps. “They should then contact our Prize Claims team, who will arrange for them to visit our Winners Room to collect their prizes.” The National Lottery’s Prize Claims team can be reached at 1800 666 222 or via email at [email protected].
In addition to providing life-changing prizes, the National Lottery contributes significantly to various social causes. Nearly 30 cent of every euro spent on National Lottery games is directed towards initiatives in areas such as sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish language.
As the excitement surrounding the winners grows, many in Cork and Dublin are reflecting on the possibilities that come with such a substantial prize. The news serves as a reminder of the potential rewards associated with the lottery, alongside its role in supporting community initiatives.
