Aidan O’Brien Confirms Lake Victoria’s Comeback: “Unbelievable” Filly Set to Race Again

BREAKING: Aidan O’Brien has confirmed that superstar filly Lake Victoria, described as “out of this world,” will make her much-anticipated return to racing! This exciting news comes after fears she may have run her last race due to an injury sustained following her impressive win at the Curragh in May.
O’Brien revealed during the Nick Luck Daily podcast that Lake Victoria is on the mend and is slated to race again as a four-year-old in 2026. “She’s ready to start back,” O’Brien stated, igniting hopes among fans and trainers alike. He added, “All the lads will be happy and want to keep her in training next year.”
The esteemed trainer emphasized the need for thorough scans to ensure her health, further fueling optimism. “If they think she’s OK, she will come back. She could be an unbelievable four-year-old – she is an unbelievable filly,” he declared, underscoring Lake Victoria’s potential.
In addition to Lake Victoria’s news, O’Brien provided an update on the rising star Twain, a Wootton Bassett colt who made waves with his victory at Leopardstown last October. After a successful stint in Group 1 competition, Twain faced a setback due to an injury but is now back cantering. O’Brien expressed high hopes for Twain’s future, stating, “He could be absolutely anything next year. Either way, as a stallion, he is going to be very desirable.”
This news is generating excitement across the racing community, with fans eager to witness the return of two extraordinary horses. O’Brien’s updates highlight the resilience and potential of these athletes, promising thrilling races ahead.
Stay tuned for further updates as O’Brien and his team prepare for Lake Victoria’s return to the track!
