Alan Hughes recently recounted a humorous encounter he had with the late rock star Ozzy Osbourne during his time as a guest on the reality show circuit. Osbourne, known as the “Prince of Darkness,” passed away on July 22, 2023, after a prolonged battle with Parkinson’s Disease. His death came just two weeks after he performed his farewell concert with the original lineup of Black Sabbath.

Reflecting on the encounter from 2005, Hughes described a chaotic moment in Sharon Osbourne‘s dressing room while attending The X Factor. He recalled being with Sharon and fellow judge Louis Walsh when they heard a commotion in the corridor. In a light-hearted imitation, Hughes mimicked Ozzy’s distinctive call for Sharon, exclaiming, “SHARON!!!”

Suddenly, the dressing room doors burst open, and Ozzy entered, declaring, “I’m waiting in the effing car!” The spontaneous nature of the moment was characteristic of the Osbournes, as Sharon responded with a laugh, saying, “Oh f**k off,” showcasing their playful relationship.

Hughes, who frequently attended The X Factor during its peak popularity, shared that Kelly Osbourne was also present in the dressing room at that time. He humorously noted that Kelly rolled her eyes in response to her father’s antics. Ozzy then asked Sharon if she was coming, to which she replied, “I’ll be out in a few minutes!” as they were preparing for dinner. Ozzy, donning a large leather coat, shuffled back down the corridor.

The Osbourne family confirmed Ozzy’s passing, stating, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.” They emphasized he was surrounded by family and requested privacy during this difficult time.

As fans and friends remember Ozzy’s legacy, earlier comments he made regarding his funeral have resurfaced in the media. His unique personality and sense of humor continue to resonate with those who admired him both as a musician and a television personality. The memories shared by Hughes serve as a reminder of the joy and laughter Osbourne brought into the lives of many.
