BREAKING: Ireland Set for 7 Days of Sizzling Weather Starting Monday

UPDATE: Ireland is bracing for a 7-day stretch of warm weather starting August 11, 2023, as Met Eireann confirms a significant shift from recent stormy conditions. Following the passage of Storm Floris, which caused gusts up to 90 km/h on bank holiday Monday, the nation can expect a wave of summer heat.
The national forecaster predicts temperatures soaring to 25°C early next week, with consistently warm conditions extending across the country. A strong high-pressure system will build from the south, ushering in dry and sunny weather for the duration of the week.
Met Eireann’s latest forecast indicates that after a period of mixed conditions, the week of August 11-17 will bring predominantly settled weather. The forecast states, “A predominantly southerly airflow will result in warmer than average temperatures.”
Expect temperatures to peak at 24°C on Monday, rising to 25°C on Tuesday, before stabilizing around 24°C through midweek. A slight dip into the low 20s is expected midweek, but the warmth is anticipated to rebound towards the weekend, reaching 24°C on Saturday and Sunday.
As the warm spell approaches, Met Eireann has also released a detailed day-by-day breakdown. On Tuesday, many areas will experience dry conditions with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 21°C. Wednesday will begin with hazy sunshine, but clouds will thicken later, bringing patchy rain, particularly in Atlantic coastal counties.
Thursday is forecasted to be largely dry and bright, with temperatures between 16°C and 21°C. Friday may see a mix of cloud and sun, while Saturday is expected to remain mostly dry with temperatures hitting 17°C to 21°C.
Met Eireann cautions that confidence is lower for Sunday’s forecast, but the likely scenario indicates a breezy day with possible showers in the west and drier conditions further south.
This upcoming warm spell is not only a welcome change after the recent storms but also a chance for outdoor activities and enjoyment across Ireland. With the forecast trending positively, now is the time to prepare for a sunny week ahead.
Stay tuned for more updates from Met Eireann as they continue to monitor the weather situation closely.
