BREAKING: Missing 58-Year-Old Gerard Lynch Found Safe
URGENT UPDATE: The search for missing 58-year-old Gerard (Gerry) Lynch has been officially called off after he was found safe and well. This announcement came from Garda authorities on Thursday, following a public appeal that started just two days prior.
Gerry was reported missing from his home in New Ross, County Wexford, on Monday, October 27, 2025. He was last seen on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at approximately 9:15 AM. Concerns were raised when family members reported he had not returned home, prompting Gardaí to request public assistance in locating him.
Initial reports indicated that Gerry is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a slim build, grey hair, and green eyes. At the time of his disappearance, it was unclear what he was wearing, but authorities believed he had access to a 142DL-reg Nissan X-Trail. There were also unconfirmed reports suggesting he may have traveled to the Arranmore Island area of Donegal or to Belfast.
Family and community members expressed deep concern for Gerry’s well-being, making this search particularly urgent.
“We appreciate the public’s assistance in this matter,”
a Garda spokesperson stated. “The outpouring of support has been invaluable.”
Thanks to community engagement and the swift actions of law enforcement, Gerry has now been located. Authorities have extended their gratitude to everyone who participated in the search and shared information.
This development highlights the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in locating missing persons. As more details emerge, they will be shared with the public.
