Car Crashes Into Garden Wall in Dublin, Two Hospitalized Urgently

URGENT UPDATE: A dramatic car crash in north Dublin has left two individuals hospitalized after a vehicle smashed through a garden wall early Saturday morning. The collision occurred at approximately 12:30 AM on September 6, 2023, on Wellmount Road in Finglas, resulting in significant damage to both the silver Volkswagen involved and the property it struck.
Emergency services, including the Dublin Fire Brigade, quickly responded to the scene, where both victims, a man and a woman in their twenties, were treated for injuries before being transported to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown. Fortunately, authorities have confirmed that their injuries are not life-threatening.
A spokesperson for Gardai stated, “Gardai and emergency services attended a road traffic collision involving a car on Saturday, September 6 at approximately 12:30 AM. A male and a female in their twenties were brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.”
Images shared by the Dublin Fire Brigade depict the aftermath of the collision, showing the severe destruction of the garden wall and the crumpled vehicle. Fire and Ambulance crews from Finglas worked swiftly to secure the area and ensure safety.
Witnesses reported hearing a loud crash, followed by the sound of sirens as emergency responders rushed to the site. The community is left shaken by the incident, with many expressing their relief that the injuries sustained were not more severe.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash. Residents are urged to exercise caution in the area as cleanup efforts continue.
