Django Donegal Announces Two Exciting Music Nights in Letterkenny

On Friday, October 3, 2023, at 8 PM, the Hugo Guezbar Trio will take the stage at the Regional Cultural Centre. At just 24, French guitarist Hugo Guezbar is already a rising star in the gypsy jazz scene, known for his stunning performances at prestigious events like the Django Reinhardt Festival and Paris’s Salle Pleyel. Joining him are celebrated French musicians Mathieu Chatelain on rhythm guitar and Esteban Felix on double bass, along with special guest Giacomo Smith on clarinet. Attendees can expect a night filled with dazzling virtuosity, seamless transitions between Django Reinhardt classics and Wes Montgomery tunes, and an irresistible swing that will surely captivate the audience.
The excitement continues on Saturday, October 4, 2023, at 8 PM with a once-in-a-lifetime performance featuring gypsy jazz legends Stochelo Rosenberg, Paulus Schäfer, Mozes Rosenberg, and Daniel Gueli. This powerhouse ensemble promises an unforgettable evening of tradition and innovation. Stochelo Rosenberg, co-founder of the renowned Rosenberg Trio, is celebrated for his exceptional interpretation of Django Reinhardt’s legacy. He will be joined by fellow Dutch guitarist Paulus Schäfer, known for his fiery improvisations and collaborations with jazz greats. Together, they will create breathtaking musical dialogue, while Mozes Rosenberg, Stochelo’s younger brother, and Daniel Gueli on double bass round out this incredible lineup.
