Donegal Bay Film Festival Kicks Off with Powerful Shorts October 1
UPDATE: The Donegal Bay Film Festival is set to ignite Bundoran this autumn, showcasing compelling narratives from Irish and Northwest filmmakers. Taking place on October 1 and 2, 2025, at Eclipse Cinemas, this festival promises an extraordinary cinematic experience that you cannot afford to miss!
The festival kicks off with the Opening Night featuring the National Shorts Programme on October 1 at 8 PM. Audiences can look forward to a curated selection of acclaimed Irish short films, including the Oscar-qualifying Room Taken by TJ O’Grady Peyton, produced by Hollywood star Colin Farrell. Another highlight is the remarkable series of animated shorts, Gaza in Colour, created by children living in Gaza, illustrating resilience through art.
On October 2 at 8 PM, the Closing Night will showcase the Northwest Shorts Programme, highlighting stories from both emerging and established filmmakers. This powerful line-up reflects the culture, creativity, and social issues of the region, offering a unique glimpse into the heart of the community.
Tickets are priced at just €4.50 and are available now on the Eclipse Cinemas website, with early bird discounts to encourage festival-goers to secure their seats promptly.
