Dr. Clare Kambamettu Reveals Wedding Dress Ahead of Big Day
UPDATE: Dr. Clare Kambamettu has just revealed her wedding dress purchase, adding excitement to her upcoming marriage to fiancé Ryan Tubridy. In a compelling interview, Kambamettu detailed how her win at the 2010 Rose of Tralee sparked a “butterfly effect” that ultimately led to their romance.
Speaking as a judge for this year’s festival, won by Laois Rose Katelyn Cummins, Kambamettu shared how her Rose of Tralee experience launched her media career, setting the stage for her future with Tubridy. “Winning the Rose of Tralee created a chain reaction in my life,” she explained, emphasizing the unexpected connections that unfolded over the years.
Kambamettu recounted a pivotal moment involving radon testing in her home, which was unrelated to her Rose win. She stated, “The environmental protection agency sent someone to interview me on camera because I was a Rose of Tralee and they thought I’d be able to advocate for radon testing.” This interview led to a chance encounter with a production team from Earth Horizons, which ultimately invited her to present the TV series Eco Eye.
“Years later, I received a call asking if I was interested in presenting the show. This series of events exemplifies the butterfly effect,” she noted. This journey culminated when Kambamettu appeared on Tubridy’s radio show to discuss the end of Eco Eye, marking their first meeting.
Now, as planning for their wedding unfolds, Kambamettu has confirmed that she recently purchased her wedding gown from Cirq, a sustainable bridal boutique located in Naas, County Kildare. “The plans have all been surprisingly easy, and I got my dress a couple of weeks ago from Cirq,” she shared.
Kambamettu praised the boutique’s owner, Jennifer, for her commitment to sustainability, stating, “She sources all her dresses from brides looking to sell or from charities. She’s wonderful to work with, so I’m thrilled to have my dress sorted—just a few details left. It’s all very exciting.”
As Kambamettu prepares for her wedding day, her story serves as a testament to how unexpected moments can shape our lives. The emotional connection behind her journey—from the Rose of Tralee to finding love—resonates with many, making it a compelling narrative to share.
Stay tuned for more updates as the couple approaches their big day, highlighting the beauty of life’s unexpected turns.
