The recent spell of dry and settled weather is expected to continue throughout the weekend, according to Met Éireann. The national meteorological service has indicated that while conditions will remain generally dry, there is a possibility of poorer weather arriving later next week.

Weekend Weather Outlook

Throughout Saturday, conditions will remain mostly dry, although cloudy skies will prevail in many areas. Early morning mist and drizzle are forecast to clear, allowing for hazy sunshine to emerge. Temperatures today are anticipated to reach between 11°C and 14°C.

As night falls, the weather will stay dry and cloudy, punctuated by some clear spells. Overnight lows are expected to range from 3°C to 8°C, with patches of mist and fog developing. Moving into Sunday, while the majority of the day will remain dry, isolated drizzly patches may occur, and limited sunshine is expected. Highs for Sunday will range from 12°C to 15°C.

Week Ahead Forecast

Looking ahead, Met Éireann projects that the settled weather will persist for much of the work week, with only occasional light rain or drizzle expected. On Monday, any mist and fog are expected to clear by morning, resulting in another predominantly dry day. However, counties along the south coast may experience patchy light rain. Cloudy conditions will dominate, but sunny spells are possible, with temperatures reaching between 13°C and 16°C.

Tuesday will bring similar weather, maintaining dry and cloudy conditions, with occasional drizzle and sunny breaks. Wednesday is set to follow suit, with overnight mist and fog clearing again to reveal another mainly dry day.

By Thursday, a slight change may occur, as breezier conditions are anticipated. Nevertheless, the day will likely remain mostly dry, with sunny spells and temperatures ranging from 13°C to 16°C.

Overall, the forecast indicates a stable weather pattern for the next few days, with potential changes on the horizon later in the week. For now, residents can expect a pleasant weekend with minimal rain.
