Galway City Council Invites Public Ideas for €25K Budget Fund

URGENT UPDATE: Galway City Council is actively seeking residents’ innovative ideas for allocating a budget of €25,000 in the City Central area. This initiative, part of the Participatory Budget process, empowers the community to influence local spending directly.
The council aims to deliver a project or initiative based on public input next year. Ideas submitted by the community will be shortlisted, with the top proposals put to a public vote. The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 17, 2023, at 4 PM. This is a critical opportunity for locals to make their voices heard and shape their community.
To support this initiative, Galway City Council is hosting an online information webinar tonight at 7 PM to discuss the process and answer questions. Residents can register for the webinar by emailing [email protected].
This participatory approach enhances community engagement and ensures that public funds are allocated to projects that truly reflect the residents’ needs. The council encourages creative and impactful proposals, making this a unique chance for citizens to influence local governance.
For more details and to submit your idea, visit GalwayCity.ie. Don’t miss out on this chance to contribute to your community—time is running out to submit your thoughts!
Take action now and be part of shaping Galway’s future!
