Galway Teen Lórcan Donoghue Wins Best Adventure Movie at Oscars

UPDATE: In an inspiring celebration of creativity and resilience, 15-year-old Lórcan Donoghue from Furbo has just been awarded Best Adventure Movie at the LauraLynn Oscars held on October 21, 2023, at the Odeon Cinema in Charlestown. Despite his absence due to health challenges, Lórcan’s family proudly accepted the award on his behalf for the film ‘Lórcan’s Musical Treasure’.
The LauraLynn Oscars is a unique digital storytelling initiative designed to empower families of children with life-limiting conditions, providing them a platform to share their stories through film. This year marks the event’s 8th anniversary, showcasing the incredible creativity of families who participate in this therapeutic experience.
Lórcan’s mother, Aoife Donoghue, expressed her pride after the ceremony, stating, “The day was so special, and we are so proud of Lórcan.
