Garryowen Remains Unbeaten in AIL After Thrilling Draw

UPDATE: In a thrilling weekend of action in the All-Ireland League (AIL), Garryowen showcased their resilience, maintaining their unbeaten streak in Division 1B following a gripping 17-17 draw against Queen’s University. The match, held earlier today, saw tries from Max Clein, Des Fitzgerald, and Will Hayes, with Tom Wood successfully converting one.

In Division 1A, Young Munster faced a challenging home encounter, succumbing 15-8 to St Mary’s College. The visitors surged ahead with a commanding lead of 12-0 at halftime, leaving Young Munster to rally with a try from Hubert Gilvary and a penalty kick by Shane O’Leary.

Meanwhile, Old Crescent continued their winning momentum in Division 2A, achieving a solid 18-10 victory against Cashel. Key contributions came from Stephen Kiely, Aaron Cosgrove, and Dan Hurley, while Jeff Williams added a penalty, securing their second consecutive win.

Bruff secured a 28-19 home win against Monkstown, thanks to tries from Paul Collins, Kieran O’Dwyer, Patricio Neheun, and Andrew Byrne, all converted by Collins.

In the Women’s All-Ireland League, UL Bohemian delivered an emphatic 44-17 win over Railway Union at Annacotty. Alana McInerney was the standout performer, scoring a hat trick of tries, complemented by two from skipper Chloe Pearce and additional tries from Catriona Finn, Eilis Cahill, and Kate Flannery. Finn also contributed with two conversions.
