Kilkenny GOAL Mile Launches 2025 Season on December 5th
UPDATE: The much-anticipated 2025 GOAL Mile season is set to kick off with the Kilkenny GOAL Mile at Kilkenny Castle on Friday, December 5, from 1pm to 2pm. This exciting event invites the local community to participate in a festive, health-focused activity while supporting a vital humanitarian cause.
Organized by Jason Dempsey, AIB Kilkenny Branch Manager, the Kilkenny GOAL Mile aims to unite the community in a spirit of generosity and festive cheer. “As a proud supporter of GOAL, I am excited to help launch the 2025 season and stand alongside Kilkenny’s generous community to raise essential funds for those in need,” Dempsey stated.
The GOAL Mile has been a cherished tradition in Ireland for over four decades, taking place in more than 200 locations nationwide. This year, the event not only marks the beginning of the holiday season but also plays a critical role in funding GOAL’s life-saving work with vulnerable communities facing the impacts of conflict and climate change in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.
The event is proudly supported by AIB, which has been backing the GOAL Mile since 2021. Dempsey expressed optimism for this year’s turnout, aiming to make the Kilkenny GOAL Mile the largest yet, with engaging activities for all ages.
Nafisa Brennan, Senior Fundraising Manager at GOAL, encouraged everyone in Kilkenny to participate: “Take an hour out of your workday on December 5 to create amazing Christmas memories while making a tangible difference for communities in need. Every step counts.”
This is a unique opportunity for residents to contribute to a significant cause while enjoying a healthy, festive outing. Registration for the Kilkenny GOAL Mile is now open. Interested individuals can sign up at https://www.goalmile.org/.
Don’t miss the chance to be part of this impactful event that blends community spirit with humanitarian efforts. Join the movement and make a difference this holiday season!
