In the St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship, both Dicksboro and Clara secured their places for next season, avoiding relegation. In a thrilling match at Canon Kearns Park, Clara triumphed over Lisdowney with a nail-biting score of 2-27 to 3-21 after extra time. Meanwhile, Dicksboro edged out Graigue Ballycallan with a final score of 2-15 to 1-14, sending Graigue Ballycallan into a relegation fight alongside Lisdowney in three weeks.
The competition heated up further in the first round, where the Shamrocks dominated Erin’s Own with a resounding victory of 1-32 to 2-8. Not to be outdone, Mooncoin showcased their prowess with a crushing 6-23 to 1-15 win against their southern rivals Rower Inistioge. The excitement continues, with the Blacks & Whites securing their status for a fourth consecutive year, edging past their opponents 0-17 to 1-11.

In another thrilling showdown, the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling League and Shield Finals took place at UPMC Nowlan Park. In the Shield final, Dunnamaggin triumphed over Young Irelands with a solid victory of 0-17 to 1-9. Meanwhile, James Stephens maintained their unbeaten streak in the league, defeating Danesfort with a score of 1-23 to 0-17, setting a strong championship benchmark.
In the JJ Kavanagh Junior Hurling League, Barrow Rangers demonstrated their dominance, overpowering Cloneen with a commanding 3-18 to 0-16 victory.
