Limerick Arts Organizations Secure Over €49K for Upgrades NOW

URGENT UPDATE: Two arts organizations in Limerick are set to receive a significant boost with over €49,000 in government funding, just announced as part of a larger €1.4 million national initiative aimed at upgrading cultural facilities across Ireland.
The Hunt Museum will benefit from €34,324, while Limerick Printmakers is allocated €14,790. This funding is part of the Cultural Capital Scheme, specifically under Stream E, focusing on enhancing the existing arts and culture centers throughout the country.
Senator Maria Byrne expressed her enthusiasm for the funding, stating, “I am really pleased to see two Limerick projects receiving the above funds. I would also urge those who may be eligible to consider applying as the scheme remains open.”
The scheme not only supports upgrading facilities but also aligns with the government’s commitment to tackling climate change. It welcomes projects that aim to reduce an organization’s carbon footprint while providing additional capacity for artistic production.
This funding arrives at a critical time as cultural institutions continue to recover from the impacts of the pandemic. With public interest in the arts on the rise, these upgrades will enhance community engagement and access to cultural experiences in Limerick.
As the scheme remains open for applications, local organizations are encouraged to seize this opportunity to improve their facilities and expand their artistic offerings.
Stay tuned for more updates on the impact of this funding and how it will reshape the cultural landscape in Limerick and beyond. Share your thoughts on social media about how these investments can transform local arts!
