Limerick Launches Urgent Photo Contest with €1,000 in Prizes

UPDATE: The city of Limerick has just launched an exciting photo competition that invites residents and visitors to showcase the county’s beauty. The “Great Days Out in Limerick” contest is now open for submissions, running until August 22.
Participants are urged to capture images that highlight the vibrancy, adventure, and charm of the region. The competition is organized by the Limerick City and County Council in collaboration with Limerick’s Live95 radio station, emphasizing community engagement and pride.
The contest features four distinct categories: Great for Foodies, Great for Adventure, Great for Family Fun, and Great for Culture. Each category winner will receive a €250 Limerick Gift Card, making this an attractive opportunity for budding photographers and enthusiasts alike.
Entries will be judged on their concept, creativity, and composition, with a strict guideline to avoid digital editing of smartphone images. This ensures that the authentic spirit of Limerick is captured in each photograph.
The Council encourages everyone to participate, stating, “This is a fantastic way to promote our beautiful county and engage the community.”
To submit your photos, visit limerick.ie. Don’t miss out on this chance to showcase your talent and celebrate the unique experiences Limerick has to offer.
As the deadline approaches, excitement is building, and the community is keen to see the stunning images that will emerge. Share your best shots and be part of Limerick’s story today!
