Man Arrested for Assault in Kilkenny City; Faces Four Charges
URGENT UPDATE: A man has been arrested and charged with two counts of assault and two public order offenses in Kilkenny City following a violent incident on September 30, 2023. The situation unfolded when a member of the public alerted gardaí while they were on duty.
The witness, who was out with her partner, reported seeing an assault just a short distance away. According to a garda spokesperson, the couple acted quickly, with the woman pointing out the suspect while her partner rushed to the police station with two individuals who had allegedly been attacked.
Authorities responded promptly, arresting an intoxicated male at the scene. After collecting statements, the suspect was charged and is scheduled to appear before Kilkenny District Court. He faces significant legal repercussions with four charges in total.
