Nathan Carter to Headline Urgent Fundraiser for iCap in London
URGENT UPDATE: Irish country music sensation Nathan Carter is set to headline An Irish Shindig 2025 at the renowned Electric Ballroom in Camden, London on September 25, 2025. This flagship fundraising event, organized by iCap, aims to celebrate Irish culture while providing essential support to the Irish community through culturally sensitive mental health services.
The stakes are high. Proceeds from this event will directly fund iCap’s vital mental health services, which currently assist over 200 individuals each week facing unique challenges in accessing appropriate support.
Carter, one of the biggest names in Irish country music, has captivated audiences with hits like ‘Wagon Wheel’ and ‘I Wanna Dance’. His rise to fame has not only transformed the image of country music but has also made him a household name. He has performed for the Pope at Croke Park, and his festival appearances have garnered massive crowds across the UK and Ireland.
This event is critical for iCap, which delivered nearly 7,500 hours of therapy last year alone, catering to a wide age range from 18 to 88 years old. iCap CEO Fionuala Bonnar expressed her excitement: “We are thrilled to have Nathan Carter headline An Irish Shindig. This event plays a crucial role in raising awareness and funds for our culturally sensitive mental health services.”
The significance of this fundraiser is echoed by Kate Fuller, owner of the Electric Ballroom and a dedicated iCap ambassador. “We are delighted to welcome Nathan Carter for what promises to be a spectacular night,” she stated. The event not only highlights the importance of mental health support but also fosters a sense of community and connection among attendees.
Advocates for mental health like Clare Kambamettu, the 2010 Rose of Tralee, emphasize the emotional importance of such gatherings. “Having a person to talk to, a hand to hold, is a saving grace for all of us,” she remarked, highlighting the essential role of iCap in providing support to those in need.
In addition to Carter, the event will feature performances from The Reels and Colin Andrew, making it a night not to be missed. Tickets are selling fast, and attendees are urged to secure their spots quickly to support this worthy cause.
