UPDATE: A memorial service for Chloe Hipson, one of five young victims of a tragic road collision, is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2, at 11:45 AM in Daldowie Crematorium, Glasgow. Chloe, aged 21, lost her life alongside friends in a devastating crash in Louth on November 15.
The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Toyota Land Cruiser, resulting in the deaths of Chloe Hipson, Chloe McGee (23), Shay Duffy (21), Alan McCluskey (23), and Dylan Commins (23). The funerals for Alan and Dylan were held on November 21, where mourners remembered Dylan for bringing “light, laughter, and adventure” to those around him, and Alan as a “gentle giant” with a “brave heart.”
Chloe McGee and Shay Duffy were laid to rest on November 22 in a heartfelt ceremony at St. Joseph’s Church. Friends and family shared memories, highlighting Chloe’s “bubbly character” and Shay’s driven personality.
Chloe Hipson, from Bellshill, Lanarkshire, will be honored during the service at Daldowie Crematorium, where her heartbroken parents, Ryan and Toni, along with her brothers, extended family, and many friends, are expected to pay tribute.
Earlier, a gathering of family and friends was held on November 19 at Quinn’s Funeral Homes in Dundalk to support each other during this painful time.
This devastating incident has left the community in shock, with officials urging drivers to exercise caution on the roads. The loss of these young lives has sparked conversations about road safety and the need for increased awareness.
As the memorial service approaches, tributes continue to pour in for the victims, underscoring the profound impact they had on their communities. Families and friends are encouraged to attend the service to honor Chloe’s memory and support one another during this difficult time.
