Shannon Airport Launches Urgent ‘Mega Giveaway’ for 80th Anniversary

URGENT UPDATE: Shannon Airport is celebrating its 80th anniversary of transatlantic flights with an exciting and unprecedented “mega giveaway.” Starting today, the airport has launched the “Ready, Jet, Go” campaign, offering 80 flights to various destinations around the globe throughout the month of September.

This autumn marks the historic occasion of the first scheduled transatlantic passenger flight landing at Shannon on October 24, 1945. To honor this milestone, Shannon Airport aims to connect travelers to popular locations in the EU, UK, and US by giving away 40 pairs of return flights each day.

“From sun-soaked holiday hotspots like Madrid, Barcelona, and Lanzarote to major cities such as Paris, New York, and Frankfurt, we are thrilled to offer flights on all our routes and more,” stated a spokesperson for Shannon Airport.

As part of this giveaway, participants will also be entered into a master draw to win one of three grand prizes, including flights to San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Orlando. This is made possible through easy onward connections from Shannon via New York-Newark.
