In an interview with RSVP Live, Siomha expressed her gratitude for her busy schedule, which includes TV presenting and hosting the popular bilingual podcast How to Gael.
Siomha shared her experiences at the launch of TG4’s 2025 Autumn schedule held at the Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield, Dublin. She stated, “I enjoy being busy, I thrive when I’m busy,” emphasizing her commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The Ireland AM host has become a recognizable face on weekend mornings, presenting each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. “I finish at 12 o’clock on Saturday and Sunday, so I have the rest of the days on the weekend to see my partner, see my friends, see my family,” Siomha explained, underscoring her dedication to family time.
With her pregnancy progressing smoothly, Siomha noted, “I feel great… since the second trimester started I’ve been full of energy.” This positive outlook allows her to continue managing multiple roles while anticipating the arrival of her child with husband Cathal Pendred.

The podcast has gained traction since its launch in 2023, and the trio has even taken their show on the road for live performances. “I feel like I’ve found my tribe,” she said, celebrating the connection the podcast has fostered within the community.
TG4’s new lineup promises a rich array of content, featuring original Irish-language cinema, documentaries, live sports, and children’s programming. Siomha praised the network for its innovative approach, stating, “TG4 always has their finger on the pulse… There’s something for everyone in this schedule.”
