According to travel booking site Omio, the latest findings show Albox not only boasts inexpensive meals but also a bottle of wine averaging £2.83. In contrast, visitors to Madrid can expect to pay around €2.77 (£2.40) for a regular cappuccino, whereas coffee in Albox costs only €1.50 (£1.30).

The second cheapest city, Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, offers meals for about £9.14, with wine priced at £4.68. A dinner for two, including wine, will set you back just £22.95. A domestic beer costs only €2.10 here, compared to Madrid’s €2.77.

In Granada, the third entry on the list, an average meal is priced at £11.31 and a bottle of wine at £4.35, bringing the total for dinner for two to around £26.97. The popular southern destinations of Seville and Marbella follow closely, with a meal and wine for two costing just £27.80.

The report also highlights Zaragoza in the Aragon region, where a bottle of wine averages £3.05, making it an appealing option for budget-conscious tourists. This information comes as Delectatech reveals alarming insights into the rising food prices affecting tourism, particularly in Majorca, where businesses are struggling due to decreased tourist spending.

As travel resumes, the disparity in dining costs among Spain’s cities could reshape vacation decisions for many travelers. With the summer season approaching, it’s crucial for tourists to consider their destination’s affordability.
