URGENT UPDATE: Tributes are pouring in for 15-year-old Cian Neville following his sudden passing on August 23, 2023. The beloved teenager, known for his appearance on the RTE series Raised by the Village, died unexpectedly while surrounded by his loving family in Ringsend, Dublin.

Cian’s death has left a profound impact on his community and beyond. His family, including parents Orla and Ian, and siblings Coady, Ava, and Joe, are heartbroken. A death notice shared on RIP.ie highlights the extensive network of friends and family mourning this tragic loss.

In Raised by the Village, Cian participated in a transformative experience where urban teens are relocated to rural settings to gain a fresh perspective on life. Cian appeared in the fourth episode of the second season, where he stayed with the Payne family on their farm in Tulsk, Roscommon. During his time there, he engaged in activities such as helping at a local dog kennel, Dottie’s Dog House, where he was fondly remembered as “a true little gentleman.”

Dottie, the kennel master, expressed her sorrow on social media, stating, “I am absolutely gutted for his mam, dad, and siblings. Cian, it was a total pleasure meeting you. Rest in peace, beautiful boy.” She also mentioned the overwhelming support received, with over 6,000 well wishes directed to Cian’s family.

The outpouring of grief continues as mourners reflect on Cian’s personality. One viewer remarked, “He was a beautiful lad on Raised by the Village. My sincere condolences to his family.” Another shared, “I remember seeing him on the show. He was such a lovely young boy, bubbly and smiley.”

Cian was also a member of Cambridge Boys Football Club, where he was cherished by teammates for his infectious energy and humor. The club released a heartfelt statement, saying, “Cian lit up every training session and matchday. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Cian’s family, friends, and teammates during this incredibly difficult time.”

Cian’s funeral was held on Saturday at Saint Patrick’s Church in Ringsend, followed by his burial at Glasnevin Cemetery. Hundreds of friends, family, and neighbors lined the streets to bid farewell, many dressed in pink, Cian’s favorite color, to honor his memory.

As the community grieves, the impact of Cian’s life resonates deeply. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
